Subjects offered by the department are Geography, History and C.R.E.

The department plays the following roles:

  1. Improving students’ understanding of the nature of knowledge with a carefully constructed and comprehensive program of subjects offered by the department.
  2. Ensuring learners have proper and correct knowledge in various subjects in the department.
  3. Sharing understanding of the contribution of the subjects to make all aspects of students’ lives.
  4. Contributing to the student’s spiritual, moral, cultural, mental, and physical development in preparing students for the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of adult life.
  5. Effectively identifying learners who are underachieving in Humanities and where necessary create and implement effective plans of action to support them.
  6. Exemplifying first-class teaching skills and ensuring good practice is shared throughout the department including good classroom management.
  7. Providing suggestions that would help ensure good performance in KCSE.

The subjects offered in the department are well performed both at individual and school levels. Subjects are also well-ranked at the Sub-County and County levels.
